Employee Spotlight - April 2023

Every month, we ask employees to nominate their peers for our "Living the Values" challenge. The nominations are submitted whenever another employee witnesses a peer living out one of our core values in the workplace:

• We build radical solutions to achieve our customer's goals
• We believe sunlight is the best disinfectant
• We deliver through constant experimentation
• We care personally

This challenge was started in March 2023 and congratulations goes to Chris Rodriguez from our carrier team for being the April winner!

Value: We care personally

Nomination: We’ve all been in that situation before. You know the one I mean, the clock is ticking down, sweat beading on your forehead. Panic starts to set in, everything begins to go blurry. The realization that you won’t finish the test and pass the class, your future is over, family disowns you! Ok, maybe just me on that last part. That’s how it’s felt for many people on the ops team trying to get our ingated containers invoiced on one of our biggest clients. The team was trying several solutions to fix this issue but one was a little unique. Leadership put out a call for help from the wider company. I’m not sure about you, but I imagine we all have a full plate of tasks and are not just waiting for more work. For this to work, people would need to put in longer hours in their day. The easy answer would be to not respond. This DA team doesn’t do easy. Several people answered the call and chipped in extra time, really living the DA value of “We care personally”. What once was Calculus became addition and subtraction. The team was flying through the test. Many people helped out, and each should win this award but one in particular deserves our gratitude, Chris Rodriguez. He might not wear a red cape but was our superman. In a matter of days our Accessorial Pending Queue went from hundreds to all caught up in no small part of his and all the volunteers' work. Thank you for living the DA values Chris.
